Rahama Sadau’s name first surfaced on Twitter, where the name was mentioned more than 10,000 times, after her star-studded photos caught the attention of her followers and Twitter users especially from northern and southern Nigeria.

The photos of the hero sparked a heated debate among social media users, which led to the insulting remarks of Prophet Mohammad (SAS).

The actress appeared in a video posted on her Instagram page wearing a hijab, crying and dancing, asking for forgiveness.

In an interview with the BBC she also said that any sensible person if he sat down and watched what happened would realize that it was a tragedy.

“One has to wonder if Rahama feels like a Muslim,” she said.

She said that at night she posted the pictures and went to sleep, without stopping to look at what was said about the photos she published.

“It wasn’t until the next morning that I got up and saw 10,000 comments. I had no idea what was going on. So someone sent me a misleading message. I think this was because I knew that posting a picture turned into something.” her Kannywood colleagues, Rahama said they should start denying it. “But maybe those who are talking have already seen me but can’t call me. They’d better let it be talked about.”

The actress said she would not mind if it was just a comment from people. But she said the insult to Prophet Mohammad (SAS) had shaken her and that was why she felt it was right for her to come out and apologize for her outrage at the insult to her religion.

“Every Muslim must be angry – that’s why I came out and apologized to the public and distanced myself from what was said.”

The actress said that was the reason why she went to take the whole picture. She said that if only people were talking about the pictures she would not be bothered.
